Abed Abdullah Zawitey was a Kurd born in 1954 in Zawita, a township of Duhok. He was one of the hero’s who sacrificed his life for his nation and country. He was one of the Kurdish students who was very active in the seventies. he finished his primary school at "Zawita school", when he arrested by Bath regime, he was at the last year of secondary school in Duhok. He was peshmerge from 1974 till 1975, in 1976 he was one of the leaders of "KAWA" organization which was supported by "The Provisional Manager" (in Kurdish: Qiyada Mo'eqet), later he became secretary of president of "Şefeq" regain. He is arrested at school in 2-7-1977 in Duhok at the age of 24, later they moved hem to Kerkuk and then to Mosel jail. He was  within two month’s very tortured, in 21-9-1977 at 24:00 o'clock he hanged.
